Understanding Density

Density is the mass per unit volume of a substance, expressed as ρ = m / V. It is one of the most fundamental physical properties in engineering, used in fluid mechanics, materials science, drilling operations, and process design. In petroleum engineering, fluid density determines hydrostatic pressure, buoyancy, and flow behavior.
