Reservoir fluid classification ranges

Black Oil: GOR < 2,000 scf/STB. API 25-45. Primary product is oil.

Volatile Oil: GOR 2,000-3,300 scf/STB. API 40-50. Shrinkage significant.

Gas Condensate (retrograde): GOR 3,300-100,000 scf/STB. Liquid drops out below dewpoint.

Wet Gas: GOR 100,000-150,000 scf/STB. Surface condensate produced but no retrograde.

Dry Gas: GOR > 150,000 scf/STB. Negligible liquid content.

CGR = 1,000,000 / GOR (STB/MMscf when GOR is in scf/STB)
