How this was calculated
AGA 3 Gas Flow: Q (scf/hr) = C' × Cd × E × d² × sqrt(hw × Pf / (Tf × SG))
Where: C' = 218.527 (orifice flow constant), Cd = discharge coefficient (simplified ~0.61 for screening), E = 1/sqrt(1-beta^4), hw = differential pressure (inH2O), Pf = static pressure (psia), Tf = temperature (°R), SG = gas specific gravity.
Beta ratio: beta = d / D. AGA 3 limits: 0.1 ≤ beta ≤ 0.75. Practical range: 0.2 to 0.7.
Standard orifice sizes: Per API 14.3, bore diameters come in standard increments (0.250, 0.375, 0.500, ... up to pipe ID).
