Gas velocity: Using Souders-Brown coefficient K ≈ 0.35 ft/s for horizontal separators

V_g = K × √((ρ_L - ρ_G)/ρ_G) where ρ_L ≈ 50 lb/ft³

Min area: A = Q_gas_acfs / (V_g × 0.5) [50% of cross-section for gas]

Liquid volume: V_liq = Q_liq × retention_time / 1440 [bbl]
