Engineering formulas

Velocity: v = Q_total / A, where A = pi/4 * d^2 (valve bore ~90% of tubing ID)

Erosional velocity: Ve = C / sqrt(rho), where C = 100 (API RP 14E)

Pressure drop: dP = 0.5 * rho * v^2 * K / 144, K = resistance coefficient (~1.5 for SSSV)
