How this was calculated

Mechanical (Hooke's Law): dL = F*L/(A*E). Accounts for pressure-area forces on piston effect.

Thermal: dL = alpha * L * dT. Steel alpha = 6.9e-6 in/in/°F.

Ballooning: dL = (2*v*L/(E*(R²-1))) * (dPi - R²*dPo). Poisson ratio v = 0.3.

Buckling: Fictitious force method. If net compressive > critical, sinusoidal/helical buckling occurs.
