1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Petropt Tools (tools.petropt.com), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

2. Service Description

Petropt Tools provides browser-based petroleum engineering calculators, workflows, and data tools. Free tools require no account. Workspace and Pro tiers require a paid subscription for additional features.

3. Accounts

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials. You must provide accurate information when creating an account. One account per person.

4. Subscriptions & Billing

Paid plans (Workspace, Pro) are billed monthly via Stripe. You may cancel at any time — access continues until the end of the billing period. No refunds for partial months. Prices may change with 30 days notice.

Free trials, if offered, convert to paid subscriptions automatically unless cancelled before the trial ends.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the service for any unlawful purpose
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to other accounts or systems
• Scrape, crawl, or bulk-download tool content for commercial redistribution
• Upload malicious files or attempt to exploit the service
• Resell or sublicense access to paid features

6. Data & Privacy

Most tools run entirely in your browser — your data is not sent to our servers. For tools requiring server-side computation, data is processed in memory and immediately discarded. See our Privacy Policy for details.

7. Disclaimer of Warranties

Petropt Tools are provided "as is" for screening and educational purposes. Calculations should be verified against laboratory data, detailed simulation, or field measurements before making operational or investment decisions.

We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or fitness for any particular purpose of any calculation or tool output.

8. Limitation of Liability

Groundwork Analytics LLC shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use of these tools, including but not limited to financial losses, operational decisions, or data loss.

9. Intellectual Property

The tools, design, code, and content on Petropt Tools are owned by Groundwork Analytics LLC. Your data and uploaded files remain yours. Saved analyses and outputs are yours to use and share.

10. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account for violation of these terms. You may delete your account at any time via Settings. Upon deletion, your data is permanently removed within 30 days.

11. Changes to Terms

We may update these terms. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance. Material changes will be communicated via email to registered users.
